Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2013

The newest Sarah Burton's collection for Alexander McQueen is bee-inspired. We can see models in beekeepers' veils - they faces are invisible. Her collection is based on honey colour pallette. Materials and fabrics look like honeycombs. We can also observe a many flower petals - a life giving nectar for bees (three of the longest dresses are made of 9.000 petals of flowers!).
Burton underlined that this collection is a come back to womanhood
after the overblown proportions of a woman body.
What is curious it is a ready-to-wear collection, but I don't feel it, I don't feel wearing it on everyday occasion, it is too sophisticated on a street
(but still it is an enormous collection!).
Here, I present only a few of her designs. More you can watch at: www.elleuk.com
To sum up, a very fresh, feminine and gorgeous collection for spring/summer 2013.
