Giambattista Valli spring/summer 2013

Now, I want to present some kind of warm breeze of spring by Giambattista Valli for spring/summer 2013. It is said that he want to make this collection be unisex, like if a lady wears clothes which belongs to her boyfriend/husband. But for me, this collection is light and very feminine thanks to light fabrics, like organza.
The colours like white, red and light yellow are mostly visible. The little flowers embroidered on dresses remind me about the new Dior haute couture collection. It is something familiar between these two collections. The clothes are close to the body, dresses and blouses are sleeveless. After flower collection of gowns in haute couture collection by the designer, the time brings transparent fabrics and little spots, embroidery and white leaves.

Dolce & Gabbana fall/winter 2013-14

The inspiration for the new Dolce & Gabbana collection for fall/winter 2013-14 comes from their beloved Sicily, especially from the basilic in Monreale, which is filled with Byzantine mosaic.
The show was the most important event in Milan. The last collections were criticized because of its repetitiveness, despite the fact that their collections are and were very beautiful! This time Stefano and Domenico moved us to the Byzantine empire from the 5th century.
What they saw (Domenico and Stefano) in Monreale cathedral they transferred it on fabrics. The models walked through the runaway wearing a figures of saints on their clothes, gold tiaras and arresting accessories (shoes, jewellery or bags). The concept was brilliant! You can explain it by saying: what belongs to the national treasure, (like remains after Byzantine culture), it will be always admired.
The collection speaks for itself! Just look at the photos! I love the accessories, the red lace dresses embroidered with little stones and complemented with gold jewellery.  The mosaic dress will be wanted by every woman. Apart from gold and red, Dolce & Gabbana showed us elegant costumes and coats in grey and black colours. Admire! ;)

Oscars 2013

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior and Anne Hathaway in Prada
both have chosen pastel and bright coloured gowns;
look at this photo how this two dresses harmonized with each other

OK! Today it will be about the Oscars, but tomorrow will be about the new Dolce & Gabbana collection for fall/winter 2013-14, because is so beautiful that I cannot wait any longer to write about it. It is everything because of Oscars! And I have to admit that the gowns disappointed me… I thought that it will be very glamorous and chic, but it was not.
        The 85th Oscar gala took place yesterday evening. On the red carpet at the Dolby Theather in Los Angeles gathered the most important figures of the movies. Among the winners there was not surprise. Jennifer Lawrence was acclaimed as the year’s best leading actress and Anne Hathaway for supporting actress.
        Leaving behind us the awards… The more important thing is the dresses. Who earns the award for the best gown? What are your opinions? Look at the photos below.
