The
master of the sparkling appliqué design and pastel-coloured gowns may be
familiar with the Valentino collection, but for me, Elie Saab’s every
collection presents his uniqueness and delicate nature. The collection is full
of beads, laces and flower embroidery – the identification of the Lebanese
designer.
The Oscars are closer and
closer, every celebrity stylists are looking for the perfect dress for her
star. This year, I think that we will see mostly the dresses of Lebanese
designers – Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. It is because that they design for real
women, women who are not a hangers, but have a full shapes.
The signature of Elie Saab is as
always the beadwork. This time he used silvery embroideries on lace and tulle
of varying transparencies. He called his collection “An Ode to Delicateness”,
and so it is. We can observe mostly pastels, with small exceptions of red and
black. So many photos, because I could not decide wich one to pick, there is too many beautiful gowns, you just have to agree with me! :)
