Elie Saab haute couture 2013

The master of the sparkling appliqué design and pastel-coloured gowns may be familiar with the Valentino collection, but for me, Elie Saab’s every collection presents his uniqueness and delicate nature. The collection is full of beads, laces and flower embroidery – the identification of the Lebanese designer.
The Oscars are closer and closer, every celebrity stylists are looking for the perfect dress for her star. This year, I think that we will see mostly the dresses of Lebanese designers – Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad. It is because that they design for real women, women who are not a hangers, but have a full shapes.
The signature of Elie Saab is as always the beadwork. This time he used silvery embroideries on lace and tulle of varying transparencies. He called his collection “An Ode to Delicateness”, and so it is. We can observe mostly pastels, with small exceptions of red and black. So many photos, because I could not decide wich one to pick, there is too many beautiful gowns, you just have to agree with me! :)

Dolce & Gabbana haute couture 2013

Dolce & Gabbana haute couture collection 2013 is wrapped in mystery. The collection is presented only for the potential clients. Even now, we cannot find any photos from the show. But I found something in Mexican Vogue :)
The show took place in palace in Milan with many gilding and crystal chandeliers. The place was strictly connected with the collection.Architectorial shapes of dresses imitated the Galleries and Cathedrals of Milan.
The audience consists of only 80 persons (as the Telegraph said). Especially, Monica Bellucci, anonymous clients, Princesseses and rich Russian women. Even, the most popular fashion magazines cannot watch this shaw, only a few has a right to see it and write about it.
In the collection the dominant colours were white and pastels. Good news for fans of Polish models, the final creation, a gold wedding dress was worn by Zuza Bijoch, Polish model. She looked gorgeous, and the dress was dripped with gold and jewellery, an extraordinary wedding dress. Her veil was on the real gold crown. The same with the shoes - made form real gold (they must have been heavy ;) )
I will not write more about this show, it is better to look in the pictures which I left you ;)
     Have a nice watching ;) !

Alexis Mabille haute couture 2013

I have never watched Alexis Mabille collections before. This time it is my first look on it and I have to admit that the pastel colours and light fabrics astonished me. I like pastel colours, I like wearing pastel colours and this collection turned out to be the best inspiration to my spring outfits.
Some may say that this collection is too sweet, but I can say that it is simply different. We can imagine Dita Von Teese wearing such projects (in addition to that, she sat on the front row at this show). It was not black, instead the creations were more suited to his pink runaway, and the entrance was ornamented by giant pink urns sprouting with pink flowers.
The models were wrapped in whirls of weightless organza, nude-colour laces, cascade of flowers and bouquets of origami roses.
This collection is criticised by the fashion writers because of its lack of clarity. This collection is full of ambiguity and can be suitable almost for everyone. It is said that the most important in collection is the point of view and the designer should have to stick to it, to one thing which will be, let say “a leitmotive” of the collection. For me, this collection is very diverse. From one model in tuxedo, to the other one in a great wedding gown, one in pastel colours, the other one in scarlet.  This is what fashion is, a fashion with various styles. Also, we should bare in mind that it is haute couture, such collections should have one point in common, but it is not a necessity.

Valentino haute couture 2013

Every woman is a princess. This is a rule of haute couture designers.
Did you know that only 23 designers have haute couture line nowadays? Of course it is very expensive and prestigious to have such line.
The important thing is that every dress which is made for the haute couture show is made in one copy only. Valentino belongs to this elite circle. They present this time collection full with flowers, and ethereal fabrics.
In such dresses every woman can be a princess. What a pity that only the richest can afford it. It is very hard to attend and watch live. Even the press is very small. First row belongs to the Russian and Arabian Princesses which buy it. The haute couture shows are very, very closed.
But, coming back to the collection… This season is full with flowers and with famous Valentino red colour, laces and many white and ecru shades. The most extraordinary dress was made with layers of organza, embroidered with butterflies and birds wrapped in a tulle fabric. According to the notes, 500 hours took to make such outfit!
As Piccioli (the one of the artistic directors of Valentino) said, “Couture has to be magical”, so it was. The designers’ collection may be described as full with delicacy and grace, and we can find the reflection of the garden in this collection. Also, Chiuri and Piccoli injected regular shots of the house’s signature red.
The collection is perfect, magical and it is presenting that flowers and architecture can live with symbiosis. Multicoloured flowers embroidered on the dresses and shapes of the architectural outfit made this collection original and perfect.
